Fourth Semester Teaching Practice 31/12/2018 - 11/01/2019
Twenty fifth day of teaching practice reached the school and joined the prayer meeting of staffs. After the students prayer start the class. I had class at second and third period on 8D. Taught the concept of area of isosceles trapezium through concept attainment model. Shows positive and negative examples of the concept. Students tabulated the features of examples and identity the concept.
Thank God for granting a new year. Started the journey to school with prosperous and hopeful thoughts. Reached the school attended the prayer meeting of staffs. Their is a special assembly that arranged. The main guest of the assembly was Rev. Fr John Chacko vicar of St Thomas Orthodox Syrian Church Kundara. Provide a good message for students. I had class at fifth and sixth period in 8D.Taught the concept of area of rectangle and area of a trapezium constructed from the rectangle are same is established and related problems were solved.
On twenty seventh day of teaching practice reached the school before morning assembly and joined the prayer meeting of staffs. After the prayer of students class were started. I had class at second period at 8D. Taught the concept of area of trapezium through constructivist model. Provide the models of trapezium and draw a diagonal and divided the trapezium into two triangles and found its area by tabulating in a table.
Reached the school, joined the prayer meeting and sir announced the date for the tenth class series exams start Monday onwards as per their scheduled timetable. Classes were started with prayer song. I had class at third and fourth period in 8D. Through discussion and explanation the concept that the area of a quadrilateral is half the product of diagonal and the sums of perpendicular distance from the opposite vertices of the diagonal is established and related problems were solved. Successfully completed thirty lesson templates of teaching practice and announced the date for the achievement test. Class were ended with National Anthem.
Reached the school before morning assembly and joined the prayer meeting of staffs. And class were started after the students prayer. Tenth class series exams started at second period onwards. I had class at second period on 8D and conducted the achievement test for the students at 10:20am to11:20am.Arranged the students into different seats and provide questions. Out of thirty three students there are twenty fine are presented for the achievement test. After the achievement test, assigned the tenth class series exam duty in the library. Duration of the exam is one hour. Managed the students in the library. Collected the answer sheets in order to the series based after an hour. programme practiced the practiced mime for conscientization programme.
On 10/01/2019 reached the school and Head master granted permission for the conscientization programme. All are busy with the arrangements of conscientization programme. Take the printed copies of poem,questionnaire and pledge for the conscientization programme. I had class at second period on 8D taught more exercise problems of the unit area of quadrilaterals. Then arranged the computer lab for the programme. 8th standard students are selected for the conscientization programme on the topic 'Social Media Addiction'. General teacher came to the school for the valuation of conscientization Programme at1:20pm. The programme started at 1:40pm with prayer song. I delivered the welcome speech for the conscientization programme. The class were conducted by session wise. Programme concluded with an oath against social media addiction. At evening we arranged a treat for the teacher in our school. Teachers showers all blessing for our way of life. Around 4:30pm concluded the programme.
Last day of our teaching practice in our school. Reached the school and joined the prayer meeting of staffs. After the students prayer start the class. I had class at second period on 8 D. Present my innovative work before students. It a puzzle box of quadrilaterals. Divided the students into four groups. Each group selected a letter from the tree. Each letters in the tree have corresponding puzzle box. If they place a small bear in above the letter box in the tree a light placed in the side of the puzzle box glow. Then a group member from each group came forward and taken the question in the puzzle box. Pupil participated the game actively. Founded the answers of the question. They are interested in the game for finding answers. Through this innovative work my aim is to make a clear understanding about some quadrilaterals and its area. Afternoon provide the answer sheets of achievement test and presented a gift for the top holder of the test. Abhishek.S got 24marks out of 25. Then distribute sweet for the students. At 2:30pm there is a programme on the memorial day of founder of the institution. Around 4:30pm programmes were concluded.
