Teaching practice is an integral component of teacher training. It grants student teachers experience in the actual teaching and learning environment. Teacher strive to meet the principle of good practice in an effort to provide the best learning experience for their students.
Teaching practice in the B Ed curriculum started third semester onwards. On the part of teaching practice our practice begins on 18/06/2018. I reached M G D B H S S Kundara at 9:15am. Including me there are five B Ed teacher trainees from our college. First we met the principal and our concerning teachers. As per their instruction joined the prayer session of staff and students organized their general prayer. Class started at 9:45am. I have first class at 8th standard on second period starts from 10:20am to 11:00am. Firstly make a friendly talk with students and introduce myself. First lesson template were started and provided activity cards. Through discussion and explanation the concept of two sides and an angle were established and solve the related problems. At 12:45pm ate our lunch. Teachers arranged the library for us. Afternoon got substitution classes at there. The classes were ended 3:35pm with National Anthem. At 4:00pm left from school.
On 19/06/2018 celebrated as "Vayanadinam" (Day of Reading) . The Government of Kerala observes 19 June annually as " Vayanadinam" on the remembrance to honour contributions of P N Panicker. P N Panicker is known as the Father of the Library Movement in Kerala. I reached the school at 9:15am. Join with the prayer session of staffs. There is a general assembly that conduct on basis of "Vayanadinam". Malayalam Vidarampam club members that organised the morning assembly. After prayer song, the principal presented a memeroble talk about P N Panicker and his contributions. The guests of assembly is Keralakoumudi faculty members and managing director of chinnus jewellers. They sponsored 11 newspaper for the school as a part of Vayanadinam celebration. They handover first set of newspaper to the school. Students presents poem and the slogan. Mrs Sindhu teacher conduct a vote of thanks for the guest members. Disperse the assembly after the National Anthem. I have class on third period and fourth period. Take classes as per second lesson plan. After the lunch Vidharampam club organised a quiz competition in high school level and up level. The programme that concluded at around 2:00pm. Afternoon section got substitution on various classes. The classes were ended 3:35pm with National Anthem. At 4:00pm left from school.
On 20/06/2018 reached the school before morning assembly and join the prayer meeting as per time table the school classes were started. I have class on fifth period. Started the third lesson plan provide activity cards to the pupil. The classes were ended at3:35pm with National Anthem.
On 21/06/2018 reached school around 9:15am. Attend the staffs prayer meeting. After the students general prayer classes were started. I have classes in fifth, sixth and seventh periods at eighth standard. I completed fourth lesson plan through activity oriented method. The classes were ended at 3:35pm with National Anthem.
On 22/06/2018 reached the school before morning assembly. Join prayer meeting of staffs. After the general prayer of students classes were started. Got substitution periods in various classes. Before lunch there is a prayer meeting on church in all friday. After the prayer meeting and lunch classes were started at 2:00pm. I have class on sixth period, take the fifth lesson plan through activity oriented method. The classes at ended at 4:00pm with National Anthem. At 4:30pm left from the school. Thus first week of teaching practice that passed.
